Bead soup

I’ve mentioned my friend Lori here before. We’ve known each other since elementary school and she definitely falls into the category of old friends.

Over the years, Lori has become very well known for her gorgeous jewelry, of which I’m lucky enough to own a number of pieces. A couple of years ago, she started a really neat thing called a Bead Soup Blog Party, wherein artists are paired up and send each other beads and other bits to create even more amazing jewelry. Because of the success of these e-events, Lori was given the opportunity to put together a book (pictured above right) about some of those projects.

Bead Soup by Lori Anderson is now out and I am so awed by my friend’s talent and creativity. I am not a beader, but if I were, this would be the book I turn to for inspiration. It’s loaded with gorgeous photos, tutorials, and resources.

This adorable little owl makes an appearance in the book. For a chance to win these beads, go check out Lori's blog. Photo courtesy of Lori Anderson Designs.

To win a copy of Bead Soup, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post. I’ll leave comments open until this Sunday at 6 p.m. Eastern Time, when I’ll randomly draw a winner.

In the meantime, you should click over to Lori’s blog. She’s giving away pretties every day this week and you’ll definitely want to throw your name in for a chance to win.

Good luck!

This book is AWESOME. I love it and I’ve had it for less than 24 hours…However it does make me want to go out and spend lots of money on my bead stash…
