People, Graceful and I could use some shopping help, please.
Graceful is looking for some boots. She would like a mid-calf or knee-height riding-type boot in either suede or leather or something fake. She’s interested in blue, purple, red, or possibly dark brown. Women’s size 8.5 or thereabouts. Most important, because the child has gone up three women’s whole sizes in nine months, we’d like for the boots to be under $100, as it is anticipated that she could outgrow them quickly.
(Yes, we could just go ahead and spend more, knowing that she could hand them down to me; however, 1) I wear a smaller size and 2) while I might be trying new things, I’m not interested in wearing purple boots.)

We’ve tried Target.com, Rack Room, Zappos, JCPenney, Amazon, Garnet Hill, Boden/Mini Boden, LL Bean, Lands End, and eBay.
Does anyone have any thoughts for other places we could shop?

They are lovely and my only comment is avoid suede. It’s always bee n very unforgiving for me.
Isn’t it amazing how fast kids’ feet grow at this age? My daughter used to grow out of her new shoes before we left the parking lot! I looked forward to getting her hand-me-downs, but she grew so fast all I got was a lousy pair of sneakers.

We have had good luck at Kohls and DSW – and I agree in the suede and fake suede – it looks bad fast!

Have you heard of 6pm.com ? I’ve seen some great deals on shoes there…they beat the price of a pair of sandals I thought I got for a steal from Rue La La.
