I think it’s probably a sign of just how much Uncharted that the girls and I have watched Pete play in recent weeks…
… if I saw someone with ashes on their forehead yesterday and immediately thought, “That’s a hell of a bullet hole. How is he even walking?”
`
hahaha – nope its a mark of the Catholic to which I’m now one of many. And considering we watched a fight go down in our church parking lot last night, a couple of the “faithful” probably should have really thought about why we get them.
Oh, that’s a riot!
Hee. That’s good.
Too funny!
HA! That is funny. I like to torture my Catholic husband by making him tuna fish sandwiches on Fridays and then serving beef to the rest of the family.
LOL!!!
Love it! (I always forget and try to help friends get the dirt off their face.)
Let the Fish Fridays begin!
Lol, oh Jen, you crack me up. I forgot I had them on my head until I got home after going to the market.
The grocery store was full of people with ashes on their foreheads yesterday and it was funny to see some people staring and taking double takes and other just taking it in stride. Guess it depends on if you grew up near (or in) a Catholic Church.
Aw… that’s awesome. lol. I was one of thsoe wandering around on Wednesday with a dably drawn ash cross on my forehead. Working at a Catholic school (and being Anglican) means that I have to subscribe to all traditions…. though, to be honest? Ash Wednesday with the ash on the forehead? Not just Catholic. I grew up going to an Anglican church, and we did it too.
I’ll all for being compliant at work, and fitting in… but by 4pm when it was 28 degrees C, with 100% humidity, I’d already sweated off my ash… and I wasn’t about to go back and ask for more. lol. There’s only so many things I’ll do for my job, and wandering around the supermarket with ash on my forehead is not one of them.
