Thankful

Since Thanksgiving is on Thursday, I thought that it would be appropriate that we all talk about what we’re grateful for.  Here’s my list:

  • A husband who makes me laugh and two daughters who appear to be following in our humorous footsteps.
  • My local library for providing me with reading material, even though I foolishly stayed up on Saturday night until 4 a.m. Sunday trying to finish Pat Conroy’s new book.  (Entertaining, but I figured out the books big secret less than 50 pages in, so that’s kind of a bummer.)
  • Starbucks for providing me with the appropriate caffeinated beverage to keep me going on only four hours of sleep on Sunday.
  • Pete (again), for emailing me about this most amazing product.  (Seriously.  Go.  Read the user comments.  Laugh your butt off.)
  • The Martha, for giving me blog content.  I have her Christmas magazine in my grubby paws right now and you’ll be getting my thoughts on it soon.
  • Our two-day work/school week, to be followed by a five-day weekend.  Every week should be like that.
  • My mother, for hosting Thanksgiving this year, so that I don’t have to put my hand up inside a turkey carcass.  (Not that that’s why she hosts,  but my giblet-free hands and I are appreciative nonetheless.)
  • Y’all, for coming here every day to read my ramblings and then actually commenting on said ramblings.  Thank you.

Tell me, what are YOU thankful for?

for a grateful heart. It has been hardened at times, but has unthawed–something I didn’t think possible without a change in venue. . . blogs–which I only discovered this year—feeding the endless hunger to read something—and yes Jen, you have made this possible in part by putting your thoughts out “there” for me to consume!
    And I thank you . . .
