I got an email yesterday from the Gap announcing that Stella McCartney now has a line of clothes available at GapKids.
Naturally, I was intrigued. After all, how does this become kid friendly:

Imagine my surprise when I saw this:

It’s cute that she’s channeling her father’s youth…

… even if the jacket itself is ridiculously overpriced.
And I must say that I’m relieved that she’s not, say, David Bowie’s daughter:

P.S. Today I’ve also written about eco Thanksgiving and London. Go check ‘em out.
I saw that jacket on a morning tv programme today. Also featured was a jumper made from cashmere and silk. For CHILDREN! Seriously, who puts their kids in silk? (I mean for day to day wear…)
but then, I have no kids, so what do I know?
Yeah…I don’t think I will be buying that line of clothing.
Hmmm….interesting. That’s all I’m gonna say.
I’d like to see my almost-13-yr-old’s face if she unwrapped that jacked Christmas morning. “Appalled” is the word that leaps to mind.
First thing I thought when I saw the jacket was Michael Jackson.
*SNORT!* David Bowie’s daughter. You crack me up!
WHERE did you find that photo of Bowie? Ugh, mind bleach!
I saw the announcement from Target and my first thought was “as if.” I know they’re trying to be the higher end of the discount retail stores, but I don’t think she’s going to help their rep. (Although, I think that coat would have been perfect for a Michael Jackson Halloween costume.)
There are some very cute items in the range for trendy little 7 and 8 year olds. But way over priced.
You are so funny! Now when Gap steals the Bowie idea for a line of kids clothes, you can say it started with you!
I wanna know where that model’s boobs went. Although I’d rather look at her concave chest than that particular photo of David Bowie. Whoa. I need a dose of Greenie’s mind bleach.
I’m alarmed at how much of Bowie’s, um, upper leg I can see.
That is absolutely putrid.
Blech.
Did I mention? Fugly.
Stella’s clothes are pretty kewl
I like her line at Adidas:)
I too thought the line was overpriced. Especially for GAP. I have a 9 month old boy and buy a lot of his clothes from baby gap. Disapointing.
