kudos to you for trying and posting a review on what I consider to be a non-starter--chocolate from Target? no. My brain equates Target with cheap stuff, and while not as cheap (in quality) as Kmart, still cheap. Disposable.

Since I'm most defintely in the age range of only buying things I consider *excellent* or why bother zone, I refused to even consider throwing away one dollar (at least) to the Target machine when I saw Choxie hit the market. No chocolate snob here, just discerning where best to spend my chocolate CALORIES. Not that I count calories much these days, but if I'm going to inhale chocolate, it better be worth it!

So, while I read your review out of curiosity, I had not a single thought of ever trying it.

And your review? Confirmed my gut feeling on what type of chocolate Target would turn out. Quality? spotty, meh. Taste? again, spotty. To me, if quality ain't consistent, then it's a pass. Everytime.

I think that's why See's candy/chocolate is still around. I remember eating this in my childhood in the 60's and 70's. And it was a delight then, as it continues to be now. With so much more to choose from, I say we with the buying power do just that-only buy quality, and let the others die their natural death!
Love,
Julie

I don't live near a Target (crazy, I know) so I haven't tried this line out. Thanks for the great review of them, though.

I'm always looking out for a dark chocolate with salt but I just can't seem to find it. I LOVE dark chocolate with pretzels but I'm interested in trying it without the pretzels.

I've never tried it, but one of my girlfriends said she loved it--and she's like you when it comes to chocolate.

I've never tried it Choxie. We've been busy eating the Belgian chocolate Ernest brought back.

I'm going to be near a World Market today. Yay!

I have had exactly one choxie bar. I didn't like it at all. It was kind of powdery. I haven't gone back. I hate to admit I am kind of a chocolate snob. Target just didn't cut it for me.

LOL

At the risk of being strung up, I? Am not that much of a chocolate person. I can take it or leave it. (Hence my lack of comments on most of your chocolate posts) BUT, I think Choxie is way over priced and waxy. Blech.

I haven't had these - Target wasn't in our area too long before we moved, and they just don't have it here in Oz. They do look cute, if nothing else. I will have to try them when we (hopefully) get back next year.
