Playing soccer on a sunny spring afternoon…

… is a lot of fun.

But it’s even more fun…

… when there’s a huge mud puddle in front of one of the goals.

And there will be much laughter afterward.

Graceful’s cleats are not allowed in the house.

Our soccer doesn’t start until the last week of May. We had snow last night. Sigh.
I’m not convinced I’d let Graceful into the house after seeing the spray from that puddle!
The joy of TKD over football is that the worst you get is dirty feet
With that kind of mud, I wouldn’t even allow the cleats in the car!
this looks like most every soccer game in Michigan!
Ernest came home with a pair of really muddy shoes…since they were his oldest shoes and were really too small…I threw them away. It felt good!
Fantastic picture! Totally captures what it is to be a kid : )
I used to love coaching them in those kinds of conditions. Shortman was a goalkeeper. You know what it’s like in front of the goal?
Fun!!
What a perfect photo for the start of Spring
Brings back memories of 1982…
