Hello from Jenworld — the old one, that is. Things are fine here, in spite of all the to-ing and fro-ing from Old to Mod.
Here are some things I’ve learned this week and wanted to share with you:
- We have too damn many books. 29 boxes or thereabouts.
- I should have laid in a better supply of chocolate this week.
- Then again, not having the chocolate around means that I have actually lost a few pounds.
- My kids are amazingly fast unpackers.
- Too bad they don’t know squat about actually putting things away.
- I can assemble an Ikea Billy bookcase in 15 minutes.
- I can assemble an Ikea Billy bookcase extender in 5 minutes.
- I can assemble an Ikea dresser in 40 minutes.
- I am sick to death of assembling Ikea furniture.
- I am enjoying my new kitchen as much as I thought I would, even though I haven’t actually cooked in it yet.
- Old Jenworld already feels a bit foreign to me, as we’ve removed its contents piece by piece.
- I have missed blogging.
If all goes well, I’ll be back to regular blogging on Monday. It all depends on the phone company actually doing what they’re supposed to do on Friday and getting our lines run. Which means, I might not be back until March. (Kidding!) (Or am I?)
A care package with strictly Canadian stuff is on it’s way and it just might contain chocolate! (If it gets past the boarder guards that is!)
What do you want more…the weight loss or the chocolate??????

Two days and counting!! I’m so excited for you!
And lucky for you, my back went out. So, the arrival of the additional boxes of books will be a *tad* delayed. What with the not being able to pack or carry… soon, though, I swear!
You may even have to make another trip to the Mother Ship for some more Billy bookcases…
NEVER too many books! Until you’re moving…I have to pack up my classroom at the end of the school year; not looking forward to that. Luckily no IKEA furniture in my future though.

Yeah, I reckon we have something similar in books, we even have a bookcase in our attic!

Not enough chocolate–snicker. Glad to hear the girls have inherited their mother’s efficiency! Happy move!
