For reasons unknown, I am feeling less than funny and creative today.
Okay, who are we kidding? I think we can all put the blame on this:

This photo doesn’t even do justice to the magnitude of that particular pile o’ boxes. I’ve stacked up and out and, in some cases, might be testing the laws of gravity just a bit too much.
This is just ONE spot in the house where I’m stacking boxes.
So, since I have apparently packed my humor and creativity in one of those boxes (maybe that white one near the bottom?) and used lots of packing tape to seal things up, I’m not sure how best to entertain y’all this week. If there’s something you want to know about me or the other residents of Jenworld or there’s some other topic you’d like for me to expound upon, leave a comment here.
Holy moly! You are rockin’ the packing! I’m so afraid…I’ve got to start getting the house ready to put on the market, but I made a 5 page list of things that need to be done. It’s got me blocked.
What do we want to know…hmmm….how’d you and Pete meet? (Did I miss that somewhere?) Are you glad you have 2 girls? Or do you sometimes wish maybe you had a boy (other than The Boy) to throw in the mix? When will we next see The Boy for that matter? : )
And we’ll always take more fashion posts. Or let the girls guest post! (They can work out their toy angst via blogging. No, that doesn’t sound like any of us does it? *smirk*)
What about Elegant’s new haircut? You promised those details!
moving sucks.
I’m so glad it isnt me having to pack up those boxes.
Why are you moving (I am always late to the game)?
2 years ago, but it still feels like yesterday…maybe because we still have unopened boxes!!
My inner calm is still inside one of those dreaded boxes!
A great Army wife friend told me – if you haven’t opened a box after 2 weeks of moving, chuck it!!
Bold talk…I didn’t manage it!

Ok I’ll bite, to help distract you… You might have answered this question before, but since I’m sorta new here I don’t know.
What’s your favorite book of all time? Or if that’s too difficult, your top 5.
1) be careful with stacking those boxes! It was me not being so careful and a box falling and breaking my foot that kicked off the grand disaster we call Relationship with the SO.
2)I also wanted to know if there was more to the haircut story than just a quick turn of the head.
Do you have an inventory list for what is in each of those boxes?
Hey.! They’re boxes! And just think about the end results.
I hate moving! All the packing and unpacking, of course once you’re settled in the new Jenworld location it will be heaven!
I see that no one has really given you any good ideas for a post. And here I was, hoping that you’d be able to tell me your preferred hooker name, should you ever become one. My is MomBabe, of course.
MINE, not my. Gah. I hate typo’s, especially when I don’t have the ability to CHANGE THEM. Then I just look extra for dumb… le sigh.
I know EXACTLY how you feel about those boxes. When we moved almost a year ago, my daughter was 1 month old. My husband packed our entire apartment in 2 weeks each night after work. Everyday, my walking space became smaller and smaller. I just couldn’t wait for it to be over.
Just think, very soon, you’ll be in your wonderful,”green” and well thought out home where all your stuff will be in it’s rightful place.
Oh yes, and I’d like to see a new photo of you with your “blogging glasses” on
I’ve been at my new house for four months now… and I STILL have boxes to unpack! Apparently I packed my drive in one of them.
Umm, I moved into my house in June of 2002. There are still 2 unpacked boxes in my basement. I think my organizational skills might be in one of them.
Ugh. The only thing worse than packing is the unpacking. I’ve been in my current place for 18 months – just this weekend I unpacked two of the umm, several (ahem) unopened boxes. My goal now is to unpack the last of them before you start posting photos of your unpacked and completely organized new home.
I think I can answer Amy Y’s question, only b/c I read your book site: The Count of Monte Cristo, with Rebecca (I think) being a close second. Am I right? Do I win some sort of award for knowing that?
Here’s a question: now that you’ve taken the girls to England, what place is next on your travel wish list?
If you let the girls draw all over the boxes, at least they’ll be fun to look at!
But just imagine how awesome it’s going to be to get settled into that fabulous new house of yours
