Ahhhh….
That, my friends, is the sound of me not worrying about life anymore.
It is after 5:00 here in Jenworld and I’ve already enjoyed a delightful libation that my husband so kindly mixed up for me. Strawberry daquiris, from scratch.
So, with my friend Captain Morgan coursing through my veins, I’m feeling relaxed and ready to leave town. Of course, I do have some unfinished business:
- Yes, the girls do have school tomorrow, but only for a couple of hours.
- No, I’m not planning to work. (Fingers crossed!)
- Yes, I’m planning to clean house — tomorrow, though, not tonight.
- No, I haven’t finished packing.
- Yes, I have realized the foolishness of my assumption that we can travel with only two suitcases.
- Yes, I have pulled out more from storage.
- No, I haven’t actually packed those suitcases. See: daquiris, strawberry (above).
- Yes, my wireless connection on my laptop needs tech support, so…
- … No, I haven’t technically finished work, as I have four emails that are in my outbox.
- Yes, Pete can fix whatever needs fixing, so…
- … No, I’m not too concerned.
To quote Michael Scott from “The Office” — It’s all gooood.
you had me at strawberry daiquiris.
Strawberry daiquiris? Yum!
I’m still jealous. Have a wonderful time.
Yeah yeah Yeah!!!! You’re going to have a great time, we’ll all be here waiting for the pics when you return!
Have a safe and happy trip!
Hi there! In reference to your previous day’s post: critters always sound a lot bigger/heavier than they actually are when they’re running in the attic or on the roof. Am not sure why. We’ve had a lot of experience with those damn varmints in previous homes and what sounds like dogs running around up there always turns out to be mice or those little red squirrels (they are evil and uber-destructive). I hate them, my husband is indifferent towards them. So I told him I was calling an exterminator and PAYING for someone to get rid of them. Then he went up and set a trap:)Enjoy your critter-free vacation!
I’m pretty damn excited about your trip.
In a totally non-stalkerish way.
Bring it on! Am so excited to meet you…6 days and counting now! Have a fabulous time and call me if you need me, you have my numbers…
Have a wonderful time in Merry Olde Englande!! Say hello to Leicester Square for me!
Gosh, you’ll be gone and then I’ll be gone and it’ll be WEEKS before I know how the trip is!
On second thought, I knwo it’ll be amazing and memories that will last you and the residents of JenWorld a fantabulous life time. Enjoy!!
Ta ta! Cheerio!
Relaxation just ooooooozes from this post. I’m so glad you had a nice, relaxing evening before the Big Day.
Enjoy, Jen! Reports via blog or email gratefully received upon your return.
Hugs!! Heidi
PS Pete can drop by my house any old time!
In response to your comment on Hotfessional’s blog entry.. I think you and I should start a separate blog about the old bat’s, mother-in-laws… I’ve lived with mine for the last 10 months and we just found a place of our own. I’m so happy I could shit rainbows!
Ahhhh…. – - we should all do that more often. My best friends favorite quote is, “Life’s too important to be taken seriously.”
