Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

In honor of today, the residents of Jenworld are wearing green:

Also, over at Eco Women, take a look at the articles on eco-friendly Ireland and odd uses for dryer lint.

  1. Do you celebrate lots of saints holidays or do you have Irish heritage? Got to admit, I was born in Ireland but as I was raised a Scot, I didn’t even realise it was St Patrick’s Day till I went to Google something and it was all shamrocky!

I do usually remember St Andrew’s Day and St David’s (though I missed it this year) but I can never remember whehter George is April 23 or 24.

  2. Jen, this is interesting: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/7300466.stm

  3. Jen, do your girls know you take photos of them to show to us? Just curious whether they realize : ) My 20yo daughter loves the photos of your girls–brings her back about 12 years!

  4. There are the pants! I know those pants!

  5. Well I haven’t checked out the dryer lint thing but around here it gets put out in the trees and shrubbery for the birds to make nice cozy nests from. We find the nesting boxes and baskets full of beautifully soft nests every spring. And I have green eyes so no one around here dares to try and pinch ME no matter what I am wearing, lol.

  6. Guider: Nope, not one lick of Irish heritage. It’s all English and a bit of Scottish.

Kirstin: Yes, they know and for now they’re enthusiastic. In a few years, I might have to revise the photo policy in order to give them more privacy.

Barbra: Yep, those are the ones, but El was not pleased she didn’t have an all-green pair.

Flutterby: El and I both green eyes, but we take no chances on St. Pat’s Day and we wear lots of green. Plus, it makes our eyes just pop!

  7. Dryer lint! I’m off!

  8. She is adorable. Happy St. Patty’s Day.

50% Irish over here, so lots of green and I even had a shamrock tattoo on my face for work today :)
    Happy St Paddy’s Day!
